Founding member program
A small founding cohort, invited before the venue opens more broadly.
OpenSecondaries is onboarding a limited group of founding institutions. Participation is confidential, the obligations are the same as any member's, and the terms are permanently better.
What founding members receive
- Permanent fee exemption
Founding members never owe the membership fee. Not at admission, not later, not on any use of the venue.
- A seat in the rulemaking
The venue's rules, documents, and defaults are settled with the founding cohort's input before the broader membership arrives.
- First position
Founding members are onboarded first, and their books are established on the venue before it opens further.
The fee schedule, published
| Annual membership, per institution | $25,000 |
| Until a member's second completed transfer on the venue | No fee |
| Founding members | Exempt, permanently |
There are no other fees. Nothing per listing, nothing per document, nothing else.
Why is membership priced at all? Because a venue with a published business model is one you can trust with your documents. Our aim is a venue where institutional holders always know their options; membership is how it pays for itself.
What founding membership is not
It is not a commitment to transfer anything. Listings are non-binding, expiring, and under the member's control at all times. Most members should expect to transfer rarely or never.
How to join
Membership is by invitation. If you have received a letter or a call from us, or you hold private equity fund interests at an institution and want a conversation, write to us from your institutional email: [email protected].
